Here's The Plan
- To ensure social distancing, we are going to offer 3 worship times each week. Saturday at 5 PM and Sunday at 9 AM & 11 AM.
- We are cleaning and sanitizing the church building. We will provide a handsfree entry to the church. The chairs in the sanctuary and the bathrooms are being sanitized now and will be sanitized between each service.
- We will spread out the chairs in the sanctuary and, have seats prepared for the people that live in your house.
- Masks are optional.
- We ask all at-risk individuals to watch online. Our online service is available on Facebook Live, Youtube, and under the GO LIVE section of our website.
- There will be NO children's church, nursery, Sunday School, coffee, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions About Step 1
What are you doing to help with social distancing? We have removed over half the chairs in the sanctuary and placed the chairs more than 6 feet apart. The singers and musicians will not leave the stage. Ushers will escort you to your seat.
How have you sanitized and disinfected the building? We have shampooed the carpet in the sanctuary. Every chair has been disinfected. Every doorknob, light switch, counter space, etc. has been cleaned regularly and will be cleaned between every service. Doors to the sanctuary will be opened for you.
What about hand sanitizer? We have hand sanitizer available to use as you enter the building and throughout the building.
I saw that some bathrooms aren't open. What about ours? We will have the front hall bathrooms available. We ask that only members of the same family enter together. We have a hostess that will disinfect the bathroom between uses and services. The water fountain is not available for use at this time.
What can I do to help? This is not our "big back to church everything is normal" service. That service will happen at a later time and it's going to be awesome. THIS Sunday we do have the opportunity to pray, worship, and hear the Word together. We need you not to hug or shake hands. We need your help by respecting social distancing in the sanctuary and parking lot.
Will we still have the online service? Yes, yes, yes! We encourage our senior adults and those with health issues to continue to worship with us on Facebook Live or under our GO LIVE section of the website. The online option has helped us reach people during this pandemic that haven't attended in person before. It has been a great evangelistic tool besides keeping us all connected. And going forward if you are sick or on vacation, you will still be able to worship with your UGCLife family.
What about my tithes and offering? We encourage you to give online or through text to give but we have the box in the foyer and a new box in the sanctuary for those with checks/cash.
My child loves kids church/nursery. When can they go back? We love your child too and miss them greatly. We are limiting the areas in the church at this time to help with sanitizing and disinfecting the building. We have children services on Facebook or under the GO LIVE section of the website that will teach your child the Bible in a fun and entertaining way. Be sure to check them out.
What if my baby cries during the service? We have rooms prepared for moms and babies if they need to leave the service. The rooms have been disinfected and will be locked. The service hostess will get you in the room and will disinfect it and lock it after you leave so it's ready for the next service.
What if we have guests? Will they get turned away? We hope you are inviting your friends and family. We have allowed space in each service for guests or our people that don't receive emails, so no one gets turned away. Due to social distancing guidelines, guests will have to sit separately with their households.
What about my extended family can they sit with me? We ask that only family that lives in the same household sit together at this time.
